Favourite State of Mind (CD)
Experimenting with loud-guitar rock, punk and grunge, fuzzy, infectious riffs are delivered with renewed vigour and purpose. A sign perhaps of the obstacles and challenges that the four-piece have had to overcome in the last few years; the most noticeable being, the addition of guitarist Bert Trust,an old friend of the band, whose experience of playing with like-minded Warsaw stoner's such as: Castor Fiber and Oregano Chino, has proved to be a worthy replacement for Mechu.Following a brief into, 'Let Yourself Free' is ripe with twisting guitars and booming drums, as Ziemba's bestial snarl soon mellows into a clear, gliding vocal that mimics the edgier front-men of '70s rock. A classic formula that is again revisited during the swaggering rhythm of 'Out All Night'. On the other hand, the percussion-led beat of 'Out There' changes direction once more, as atmospheric strums lead into the psychedelia bass groove of 'Take It Slow', complete with blues-rock flourishes.
