"Unleash the Beast" is the thirteenth studio album by the English heavy metal band Saxon and was originally released in 1997. It was their first studio album with Doug Scarratt on guitar.
Saxon, the icons of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, were enjoying a most unexpected return to favor with metal fans at the time. The album represented the group's gradual rehabilitation process as they returned to the core and did what they do best: Playing heavy metal! Among the album's standout tracks are "Terminal Velocity", "Circle of Light" and "The Preacher".
