This is what Nick DiSalvo from ELDER has to say about THE BANJO: One minute The Banjo is swaggering like a drunken Monster Magnet covering Lynyrd Skynyrd - blusey stoner rock with a dark, almost sinister edge, but the next it`s morphed into a steamrolling beast of a stoner metal record. That`s one way to describe this record: unpredictable. But that`s because The Banjo is a complex record as well; the concept running through the ten tracks both underscores and is underscored by the complexity and thematic feel of the riffs. The Banjo is thick like muddy water, the musicianship is rock solid and the songs are airtight nuggets of modern stoner rock.
