SHEKINA !!
Cult album finally released on CD after some 50 years. SHEKINA plays, or actually played, symphonic / progressive rock music. The album "On Our Way To Love" was recorded in the producer Dan Tillberg's Studio Bellatrix, Malmö, Sweden in 1976 but never saw a release back in the days. The reason for this? Well, punk and new wave was on its way and the studio was booked most of the time by more commercial acts. Vocalist DanTillberg had sung in the group ÄNGLABARN some years earlier. Their 1973 album was rereleased on CD by Transubstans Records in 2006. The six members of Shekina, all in their early 20's at the time, belonged to the elite of talented young musicians from southern Sweden. Every member was a master at his instrument. So at last, after 48 years, Transubstans, has the pleasure of putting out this highly interesting, exclusive piece of work. Even today, the album sounds so fresh and vitale. They don't make music like this anymore you know. Musicalwise, we are talking about a progressive rock influenced by MOODY BLUES, PINK FLOYD, and the a folky touch from MELLOW CANDLE. Their way to love proved to be a real, real long one. Longer than anyone could have known.
