Formed in London SAM APPLE PIE attracted a large live following playing all over Europe. In 1969 the band recorded their critically acclaimed first album "Sam Apple Pie" and then in 1970 played their first Glastonbury Festival date. SAM APPLE PIE had a bluesy/rock unique sound and was a firm favourite on the London music scene regularly playing venues such as the historic Lyceum. The group disbanded in 1974 then reformed and continued into the late 70s before changing their name to The Vipers before disbanding.
