This is one of those classic Waylon albums where every song is solid, good and pure. The Album opens with "I'm A Ramblin' Man," a song with a really smooth, strong voice from Waylon, a bright, lush acoustic guitar, and heartbreaking electric guitar tones. Musically waylon plays a lot of lead guitar. On "Rainy Day Woman" and Gregg Allman's "Midnight Rider," he really lets rip and on "Cloudy Days" and "Amanda" he plays very subdued. The spiritual ride through the wonders of country music on "Memories Of You And I" was written by Lee Clayton written by Lee Clayton and is perhaps the highlight of the album with amazing Instrumentation. Waylon's voice is gentle and strong at the same time.
