Hay's album was released in April 1972 under the title "Only Parrots, Frogs & Angels." It was the result of a brilliant recording session at Phonogram Studio in Hilversum, where he recorded a collection of songs with some of Holland's finest studio musicians including singer Patricia Paay, keyboardist Robert Jan Stips (Supersister) and violist/comedian Herman van Veen. Over the years, "Only Parrots, Frogs & Angels" gained a cult status that collectors were willing to pay big bucks for - especially if the button was completely intact! For this re-release, Barry Hay tells the whole story about the making of the album in the 8-page booklet. The cover design by Bob Lens and Barry Hay was included as a two-page fold-out replica poster. The album has been remastered for the first time from the original Phonogram Studio master tapes recently unearthed from the Red Bullet archives.
