"T.O.P.", the thirteenth studio album of Tower Of Power was originally released in 1993 on Epic. The band was founded by Emilio Castillo and Stephen "Doc" Kupka in the late sixties. The album features a reunion with "Saturday Night Live" musical director and saxophonist Lenny Pickett. In the seventies Tower Of Power was the session band to work with, famous for their horn section led by Lenny Pickett and comparable with The Roots nowadays. The album is also marked as the last to feature founding trumpet player Greg Adams and vocalist Tom Bowes. "T.O.P." is reviewed as best of the later Tower Of Power albums and one of the all-time favorites.
