Mortal Sin started as a violent primitive group, like most of their peers, trying to beat Metallica, Slayer and the big ones performing truly heavy music with no other intention than exciting the listener, tempting him to headbang like mad. Their promising debut Mayhemic Destruction, whose title and cover painting say it all, was a refreshing display of early thrash, although it was done in a time when certain sophistication and improvement was achieved by the subgenre. These guys realized there were really competent bands around reaching a higher level than the rest, exploring new horizons and increasing the difficulty of their music, even introducing melody by the end of the 80's. This record was a superior attempt trying to fit the new thrash trends.
