The Brethren Of The Long House = 2 LP, Salmon Pink = (LP)
"The Brethren of the Long House" is a solid concept recording wrapped around the legend of the American Indian. In particular, the proud Mohican tribe is brought to light via the thirteen song album. Riot main man Mark Reale crafted the tracks to document the struggles of the native American, and their plight at the expense of the superficial white man. Drawing on Euro influences such as Rainbow and Thin Lizzy (check out "Shenandoah", as well as a cover of Gary Moore's "Out in the Fields"), this is a collection of raging, guitar driven cuts. In addition, vocalist Mike DiMeo added inspired, and emotional vocals to the entire collection of spirited tracks.
