The Crown will release their new album Royal Destroyer via Metal Blade Records. The Crown aren't just one of death metal's most enduring capacities now that they've celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2020 In 2021, they set their own bar even higher with Royal Destroyer, as the album sets a new standard for the entire genre. "It's our tenth record, so we're kind of part of the big boys club now," bassist Magnus Olsfelt teases. "I think in a way it marks our 'crowning achievement' and sums up our sound across all the albums on a single work. It's got everything - the early 1990s death metal stuff and the haunting melodies, but also thrash, punk and grind, heavy metal and more epic and doomy elements."
