CD with two bonus tracks. Verminous is The Black Dahlia Murder's most dynamic, stirring and emotional work to date, without compromising or giving up a fraction of their heaviness. I think this is the biggest leap we've ever made from one album to the next. In 2017, we were more creative than ever before on Nightbringers, but Verminous goes much further, says singer Trevor Strnad. It is a very multifaceted, moody album with a distinctive charisma. We experimented with new sounds and ideas without losing our jagged signature. There are many details to discover, little surprises in each song, so that all together form a living, breathing whole. It's the best music this band has ever created, and as such will stand alone. While the drums were recorded at The Pipeyard in Plymouth, Michigan under the supervision of Ryan Bart Williams, the band's former bassist and longtime recording expert, most of the material was recorded in New Jersey in guitarist Brandon Ellis' Shred Light District. The mix was done by Tue Madsen and mastered by Alan Douche. Ellis produced Verminous together with his fellow musicians in order to have more control than before. So The Black Dahlia Murder were able to polish all the little things before they sent the tracks to Madsen in Denmark.
