Ltd vinyl repress. Technical, melodic, artsy fartsy, and really brilliant death metal from Sweden. Highly acclaimed for their more rock influenced albums, though this was the one that got them noticed in the heavy metal underground of Europe. There is a blatant level of genius in the tense compositions and the guitar riffing is very impressive. Everything from Mercyful Fate and Slayer to progressive rock seem to have had a hand influencing the Bjorler's complex and thoughtful riffing. Throughout their career these guitarists would be trendsetters, for better or worse, and the level of talent and insight is plain to see on even this earliest release.
