SARCASME is a young French band (Located in Lyon) founded in the middle of the Nineties, and "Mirage" is their first album, released on the Musea Parallèle label. The band includes two guitar players and a flautist, filling the absence of keyboards. The musicians create a Progressive rock music in a vein near ANGE (French lyrics), PINK FLOYD (Listen to the wah-wah effect making the guitar "speak" in one song), with also a slight DEEP PURPLE influence here and there. Six songs and three instrumental pieces made the album, and reveal interesting contrasts between heavy sequences (Powerful guitar riffs and rhythms) and calmer ones, with beautiful flute parts. A typical French music, with a very pleasant Seventies feeling and nice melodies. To be discovered !
