GRANDJACQUES could have been a tribute to one of the most famous Belgian singers of all-times, Jacques BREL. This young band from Bordeaux shares the same love for the art of French chanson, but surely likes it rockier and more sophisticated. What hits the listener in the first place is the talented and charismatic voice of Jacques ADRANYI, worthy of French legend Bertrand CANTAT (NOIR DESIR). The lyrics are clearly in the forefront, but the singer is clever enough to leave plenty of space for instrumental developments, inspired by post-rock, psychedelia or Progressive rock. Despite the fact that they have been recorded at once in the little village of Rimons (Department of Gironde), the ten tracks included in "Live Au Presbytère" (Musea Parallèle, 2016) make it the third studio album by GRANDJACQUES. A name to watch for in the future !
