None of the previous Jose Luis Fernandez LEDESMA Q. releases could completely prepare the listener for "Sol Central" (2000), his most recent collaboration with vocalist-percussionist Margarita BOTELLO ! Our man provides the composition, keyboards, kalimba, ocarinas, voices and sound manipulation, while guests (Including ALQUIMIA and German BRINGAS) fill in the gaps with additional voices, woodwinds, trumpets, drums and loops. Ethnic musics, complex rhythms, shimmering melodies and a strong electronic component are all embedded within the fabric of the album, at times giving it a very avant-garde face, while at other times a relaxed and spiritual nature. The overall effect is quite stunning and unique ! The duet strikes back today with "La Paciencia De Job", jointly published by the Musea and Luna negra labels in the year 2006.
