Rock Fantasia Opus 10 (CD)
WURTEMBERG appears as an original line-up for many reasons. Just know, for example, that its main musician is no-one else than Alain CARBONARE ! If you don't know this name, he is an instrument maker with an international fame, who creates his own traditional instruments, and who is among the organisers of the Mirecourt renaissance. The music performed by "Rock Fantasia Opus 9", unique and mythic album recorded in 1980, evokes a pleasant blend of Middle-Ages and renaissance inherited sounds. All this is beautifully interwoven with the modern rhythm section, contributing thus to the elaboration of an original and captivating instrumental Progressive rock. Reissuing WURTEMBERG's one and only album wasn't enough for Musea. The label also exhumated what should have been the second opus of the band. Cleverly named "Rock Fantasia Opus 10" (1985), it develops the concept of its predecessor, while adding a jazz-rock touch typical of the era. To be noticed, two bonus-tracks recorded the year after by Alain CARBONARE alone. Essential !
