EL HOMBRE ASTRAL is the new project of Cesar DIEZ, bass player and founder of RAO TRIO, one of the most eclectic musicians of the Castilla-Leon Spanish provinces. After many encounters as a producer and studio musician, he managed to get on with both skilful and inspired instrumentalists. First in the traditional Progressive rock sphere of influence, the band's sound got harder towards complex Progressive heavy-metal. Sung in Spanish, the nine songs tend to escape from the DREAM THEATER style, and are biased on a more personal and varied music, sometimes close to a certain sophisticated pop music, including some bright guitar soli and a few beautiful acoustic interludes. So this is "Tierra" (Musea Parallèle, 2009), an absolutely must-have second opus !
