Rememberance (CD)
This young outfit from Lyon's first album is definitely in the quality Progressive heavy-metal vein, actually. "Remembrance"'s four long pieces range from 10 to 18 minutes. Rumbling bass, powerful drums, intense riffs: the fans of DREAM THEATER, who happened to discover ENNEADE during a memorable after-show, will be delighted ! The entwined guitar parts frequently remind of those heard in the track "The ConstruKction Of Light", except the fact that the second axe is replaced by keyboards sounds. ENNEADE's very particular harmonies sometimes take it close to OPETH or ANATHEMA. Perfectly performed and produced, this is undoubtedly one of the best French albums of the year.
