Metagaia is a project initiated by Haruhiko TSUDA, a major member of the Japanese Progressive legend called SHINGETSU. Written during the second half of the Nineties, eight tracks were recorded to form a consistent album. This enables US now to listen to "Phonogenix", a splendid opus released jointly by the Musea Parallele and Poseidon labels. This album includes an instrumental and spare music relating to various styles such as electronic, ambient, jazz, Rock in Opposition or traditional Japanese musics. It will definitely remind of KITARO, even though the variety of atmospheres and inspiration sources is flawless throughout the opus. Noteworthy contribution of keyboards player Akira HANAMOTO (SHINGTESU) on the last title "Water Harp". a superb discovery, not to be missed !
