Mirage (CD)
This new and young French band from Lyon does exist since '96, and "Mirage" is their first album released. The band includes two guitar players, no keyboardist, and a flute player. They create a progressive music in a vein near ANGE (french lyrics), PINK FLOYD (like the wah wah 's effect making the guitar speak in one song), with also a DEEP PURPLE influence here and there. Six songs and three instrumental pieces compose the album, and reveal interesting contrasts between heavy sequences (powerfuls guitar riffs and rythms), and more calm ones, with beautiful flute parts. A typical french
progressive music, with a very pleasant "seventies" feeling and nice melodies.
