OPRAM is a young outfit from the south of France. Its four musicians chose an original approach, consisting in blending Progressive rock spirit with today's rock scene sound and power, including vocals in French language. Not quite unlike the neighbours of LAZULI. With a touch of heavy-metal, electro and Crimsonian riffs, this is what OPRAM may sound like. The material is both ambitious and accessible, and never tastes like déjà-vu. After a first album in 2005, "Mon Temps, Mon Espace", the band decided to try and release a live album. Many groups failed in achieving this, without succeeding to compensate on stage for their lack of charisma and easyness, so readily hidden by the studio artifices. Now you can hear and see that OPRAM may be better on stage ! Exciting songs, a charismatic singer, catchy but never too simple choruses, a thick layer of Hammond organ, brilliant musicians in their technique and accuracy... Released on the Musea label, "Live" contains about half an hour of a concert captured on November 25th 2006 in their city of Gap, as well as two bonus video tracks (Lasting 6 and 8 minutes). Absolutely essential !
