NARR is a new French Progressive rock band, led by composer, bass player and singer Clément WERNER. And the least we can say about his music is, originality rules ! The lyrics in "Oxymore Dans La Chrysalide Des Rêves", first opus published in the year 2009 on the Musea label, are poetic, in a surrealistic manner that sometimes recalls ANGE. The music is based on oniric atmospheres, created by worked-out guitar arpeggios and chords, lively bass parts and subtle vocal parts, often sung softly, in an unusual low-tone mood. There are also lively flute parts. The Master of Ceremony is helped by a versatile guitarist and a drummer, who play jazz, heavy-metal, or medieval music as well in other bands ! NARR created an imaginary world of his own, conveyed by an elegant and fluid music, with nostalgic atmospheres sometimes near gothic music. There are medieval influences in the vocal parts as well. Here's a music full of strangeness, dreamy and fascinating.
