Which 60s fan doesn't remember the songs: 'Painter Man', 'Making Time', 'Cool Jerk', 'Tom Tom', 'Biff Bang Pow', their ultra-cool versions of 'Like A Rolling Stone' or 'Hey Joe' and some more. Especially in Germany the 1966 formed beat band around guitarist Eddie Phillips had a loyal fan community.
Stylistically close to The Who and The Kinks, The Creation was produced by their producer Shel Talmy. Until the band broke up for the first time in 1968, no international studio album was produced, but a lot of single hits. In 1984, former original members of the band got together again to record songs for a comeback album
Only two tracks ('Spirit Called Love' and a new version of 'Making Time') were released as singles in 1987 until the album was finally released as 'Psychedelic Rose' in 2004.
