Live In Munich = 2 CD = (CD)
It took years to compose and record the songs for CANTUS BURANUS II. The Cd was released in 2008 and was widely praised by the critics. To stage this creation in a befitting way, Gert Hof, star-director and "god of Light", was hired. A sort of pre-staging of this production already took place in November 2008, in China. On their journey there, the band was accompanied by the conductor Jorg Iwer, the soloist Ingeborg Schöpf and their crew, to perform CANTUS BURANUS in Guangzhou (Canton), together with a Chinese orchestra and choir. Additionally, three traditional Chinese musicians accompanied two songs. Thanks to the "Deutsche Welle" the whole journey could be documented. In March 2009 the premier of the completed staging took place. The performance in Munich in the "Olympiahalle" under the direction of Bernard Fabuljan, was tape-recorded for this DVD. Likewise the performance at the "Summer Breeze Festival" in August 2009 was filmed. Those Shows now have been united on the present DVD. As much work, as many collaborators, as many ideas ... everything for this small disk, to eternize the elaborate production a little bit. Never did a musical composition enthuse so many different social classes as CANTUS BURANUS: Next to die-hard Corvus Corax-Fans, there were lovers of metal, white collars, children with their 85 years old Grandmother, security agents who listened to Bushido at home and unsuspecting Chinese, who simply wanted to see a German show for once. Truly EVERYBODY was captivated. Every show ended with standing ovations. In China the audience had tears in their eyes and a 'little wonder' happened: People lined up to buy the Cd's. The DVD CANTUS BURANUS - Live in Munich, will be released together with two audio Cd's of the live recordings, on August, 6th 2010, just in time for the CANTUS BURANUS Show on the "Wacken Open Air 2010". In addition to the complete concert in Munich (104 min), the DVD contains the show at the "Summer Breeze" (67 min) and a "China-special" (30 min) with impressions of the journey, orchestra rehearsals and parts of the concert in China.
