The Box Tops' four albums, recorded between 1967 and 1969 for Bell Records, plus bonus tracks. Featuring the pragmatic 16 year old singer Alex Chilton, The Box Tops had a worldwide hit with 'The Letter'. 'Neon Rainbow', 'Cry Like A Baby' and 'Soul Deep' enjoyed similar success. By early 1970 the band, disillusioned by their lack of financial success, split. Alex Chilton went on to form Big Star, enjoying critical acclaim.
