Temple Of Deimos = Digipack = (CD)
After Queens Of The Stone Age's not very exciting latest works, many people miss Josh Homme's robot-rock riffs and drugged indolence, and his great songs above all. Temple Of Deimos' first album has these carachteristics: squared riffs, hopping rhythms and the typical desert rock vein that owes so much to Masters Of Reality's guru Chris Goss, never forgetting the song form. Even if it is strictly bound to the narrow dictates of genre, the band's debut album is a pleasant listen and deftly justify quotes, also thanks to the good production work by David Lenci who gave great depth to the guitars while retaining the live impact.
