Melodic Heavy/Power Metal. This features a fine vocal performance from Joacim Cans (Hammerfall) who sounds inspired on every track, and carries the slower moments with his notable talent. Mark S. Zonder handles the drums and is deceptively creative with percussion nuance. But the star here is William J. Tsamis, who handles all the guitars. He not only brings a great deal of skill to the table but also adds textures and tones that vary from song to song, including some excellent melodic solos. Only the song "Enemy Mind" failed to sustain my interest from start to finish, while "War in Heaven" and "Achilles Revenge" are a pair of songs I doubt I will ever tire of hearing. "Rising Out of the Ashes", indeed.
