Split w/ RED : Last Warrior = Slipcase = (CD)
Singer Paul Armfield led several bands during the glorious New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.
He is still active today, namely in Déjà Vu. After a few "bedroom projects", Renegade was his first serious stop, followed by Red. This release brings together all the recordings of both groups.
Renegade formed in 1979 and recorded a 12" single for White Witch Records with "Lonely Road" (B-side "Last Thought") during their short existence. Stylistically, RED were more oriented towards the speed and aggression of Motörhead.
Armfield, however, strove for more melody and teamed up with Jon 'JJ' Cox on White Heat. This retrospective offers a rare glimpse of two lesser-known acts from the NWOBHM period.
