"Pyramids, Stars & Other Stories: The Tangent Live Recordings 2004-2017" is the new 2CD or 3LP live compilation album from The Tangent. "A triple live LP is something to have on your bucket list," says leader Andy Tillison. "I've dreamed of doing something like this since I was a kid." Three concerts are represented, one from 2004, one from 2011, and one from 2017, all of which have already been released in some form as unofficial bootlegs, but here on InsideOut they are presented in proper form for the first time. The "Pyramids And Stars" concert from 2004 in Germany, where the "Roine Stolt" line-up of The Tangent played much of the debut album "Music That Died Alone" as well as (at the time) new material from the second album "The World That We Drive Through", is included in its entirety Also included are tracks from the band's COMM-era lineup (recorded without the musicians' knowledge) at a concert in the UK - as well as tracks recorded in the U.S. in 2017 by the band's current lineup. These originally appeared on the fan releases 'Southend On Sea' and 'Hotel Cantaffordit'. Presented in a newly designed Ed Unitsky 'Pyramids and Stars' LP gatefold sleeve and double CD digipack, as well as a digital album, the release of this album has been long awaited by fans of the band."
