"Tardigrades Will Inherit The Earth" is the second album by The Mute Gods, who won the "Vanguard Award" for Most Interesting New Act at the Prog Awards in London for their 2016 debut "Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me." The members of The Mute Gods, however, are anything but newcomers, but consist of bandleader Nick Beggs (longtime live and studio musician for Steven Wilson), Roger King (keyboardist and producer for Steve Hackett) and ace drummer Marco Minnemann. Their timeless sound, oscillating between poppy melodicism, alternative rock and the adventurousness of prog, creates a musically extremely exciting contrast.
