James LaBrie, internationally known as the lead singer of progressive metal icons Dream Theater, ventures into uncharted territory with his fourth solo album, 'Beautiful Shade of Grey'. On the new work he deals with personal maturity, loss, a variety of complex relationships and above all LaBrie's burning passion for music.
On paper, the Canadian singer's latest studio work took shape shortly after the global pandemic emerged. But in reality, LaBrie bonded with fellow bassist Paul Logue nearly a decade earlier.
