As name suggests this is a tribute to ZZ Top. Lots of gut bucket boogie on offer here. With the obvious being stated, this is a solid and enjoyable LP. As a matter of fact I would take this over early 80s ZZ anyday. In fact, the best song on the LP is the "Case you Havent Hear" which is the biggest departure from the ZZ formula and is a solid heavy southern rock track in its own right. The reliance on slide guitar is a lot less than Billy Gibbons and thus lends a different aspect to the 4 bar blues. No clue who Billy Bob Thornton was before this but he is the drummer on the LP.
