If the reverb-laden, gloomy minor-key Doom Metal of the 70s is your thing, California's Bedemon are a band you'll want to look in to. Originally formed in 1973 (!), these guys clearly worship at the altar of Black Sabbath. Their 2012 album, Symphony of Shadows, successfully captures that old-school Doom sound. It is full of fantastic, fuzzy riffs and the solos are a real highlight. The rhythm section is solid and Geof O'Keefe has a particularly "organic" sound to his drumming and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he played "live" on the album. The weak link is singer Craig Junghandel. He isn't a bad singer but his voice is quite plain and his delivery is nowhere near as powerful as Doom Metal this good deserves. He doesn't sell the Doom vibe as well as his band mates.
