Carita Holmström is one of the finest singer/ songwriters in Finland. She started her career in the late sixties
perfoming with Marianne Nyman as a folk-duo and recorded her first albums We are what we do and Toinen levy on EMI Finland in the seventies. Carita represented Finland in Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with a song "Älä mene pois" a composition by Eero Koivistoinen and words by Hector.
This new album is a long-awaited return to the very top of finnish singers and songwriters. My Diary Of Songs contains 10 new songs and one real "kitchen-live" gem from the late sixties as a bonus-track, all her own material. It´s a colourful journey in time where Carita discovers and finds fascinating worlds while visiting her diary of songs. For the listener this is an ever uplifting and sometimes even spiritual experience with Carita´s pop/ jazzy / blues / groovy songs, which truly are a fresh combination of
best elements in singer- / songwriter genre in this
