With the Barons, Texas guitarist John Nitzinger released a few singles in the mid-1960s for a smaller label in his hometown of Fort Worth. Starting in 1968, Nitzinger went solo for the first time, recording the singles "Plastic Window" and "Life Of John Doe" with T-Bone Burnett, who was also quite young at the time, as producer. in 1970 Nitzinger began writing songs for the US hard rock band Bloodrock. When the album "Bloodrock 2" reached gold status in the US, John Nitzinger was offered a solo contract with Capitol Records. In the 1980s, Nitzinger formed the band PM with drummer Carl Palmer of ELP and released the album "1: PM" on Ariola Records. Two years later he joined Alice Cooper's touring band, wrote songs for Cooper's "Zipper Catches Skin" and also played guitars on that album
