As can be inferred from their moniker and the title of their third full-length U.S. album, Facedowninshit revel in doomy, metal-influenced guitar textures and slow-motion rhythms. Guitarist Jason Crumer's throat-shredding vocals complement the band's Black Sabbath-vintage sound on tracks like the riff-heavy "Countless" and "Ten Strip," the latter one of their few concessions to accelerated tempos, while the slab-like guitar slowly shatters into sensitive pieces on the extended, and surprisingly subtle, "Rough Sleep."
