The second release in the Aod, DoL -series by US drone metal act EARTH. You can tell that it's the same recording sessions as AoD, DoL I, yet the mood is more dynamic and more drastic in this release. EARTH is a band that surprises us every time; this CD is sometimes pulling against the dark, down-tuned sound scape of "The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull" but sometimes it pulls against the more playful and experimental sound as they were heard in the Thrones And Dominions -era. This may be because of the new band member Lori Goldston (cello and devices) whom adds another musical element in the former trio. If you like EARTH's more meditative side this album is recorded for you to hear!
