Ampledeed is a new band put together by Aaron Goldich, formerly with the California based The Source. The music has a strong jazz inflected Canterbury feel but with a melodic sensibility that reminds of Echolyn. The band stretches out and shows off some chops - when they do I'm reminded a bit of National Health. Guitarist Luis Flores' solos have an angular feel that remind me a bit of Phil Miller. I wouldn't be surprised to see these guys playing a prog festival in the future. Highly recommended.
