A really interesting concept, seriously anyone who hears the description "avant-garde pre-Columbian" and doesn't immediately want to know what it's all about has something wrong with them. Nevertheless the album just isn't as exciting as it could be, and I think that's down to the compositions. It's like Perez knew he had a potentially brilliant concept to work with and didn't think he needed to take the next step of actually making it into a truly brilliant collection of pieces.
