Andromeda, a promising power trio at the end of the 60s, was led by the excellent lead guitarist John Du Cann. The band mixed psychedelia with heavy rock and the famous radio DJ John Peel became one of their biggest fans.
Their 1969 self-titled album included songs like "Too Old," "The Day Of Change," and more detailed arrangements of "Turns To Dust" and "Return To Sanity."
Unfortunately, Andromeda disbanded shortly after the album's release, the story behind which Chris Welch tells in his detailed liner notes. One thing is certain: this band could have become one of the most famous and successful bands of the progressive rock genre.
