In The Region of The Summer Stars shows a band punching way above their weight for their debut. Robert John Godfrey leads this completely instrumental, modern classical adjacent prog rock album that would get refined later - this might be the band's biggest "rock" album in terms of instrumentation. What reads like a bunch of pretentious names for the genre by 1976 actually manages to deliver on what these tracks suggest. Almost acting like rough shades of what you would imagine an instrumental rock piece would sound like, the moment you're finished with each piece, pretentiousness is replaced by a sense of wonder.
