You don't have to be a music-genius to find out, that this band sounds like a mixture of Astral Doors and Sabaton (for some strange reason Wuthering Heights doesn't come to my mind). Musically there are some parts that could be 100% by Sabaton and the vocals are distinctive as ever when Nils Patrik Johansson is singing. I am neither the greatest fan of Sabaton nor of Astral Doors. Both bands are good, but not brilliant. So you could come to the conclusion, that this album is "only" good too. But in fact it is very good. I would not speak of a milestone, but it's something near a milestone. It combines the best ingredients of the two mentioned bands. Whereas some songs and parts at Sabaton are going on my nerves (ok, I have to admit that some Sabaton-songs are fantastic too) this album doesn't bother me at any second. Whereas Astral Doors sometimes lack more great melodies this album has some wonderful parts.
