The debut by one of Germany's most iconic rock acts starts out with a grim and rather apt sample - the overture to a landmark release in the field of Electronic Body Music in 1992. Berlin-based producer Jor Mulder signed Oomph! In 1990 to his electro label Machinery Records. It's only natural the self-titled album first caught on with the EBM / electro scene, but since Oomph! #worked with rock influences and catchy songwriting right from the start, just one scene soon became much too small for the trio. Über-hit 'Ich bin Du' crashed the top ten of the US Independent Charts in 1992 / 93 and led to a sold-out live debut in New York - the start of huge things to come! After being out of print and highly sought after for years, you can finally lay your hands on a repress of this classic Oomph! #album!
