Visiones Paganas = LP, Orange = (LP)
On the second release by Don Juan Matus you get thrown straight into the medieval ages in 'Foresta Esmeralda', among knights and lovely ladies, only to be swiftly hurled into the late sixties, among acid-hungry and peace lovin' hippies in 'Cancion Para Nuada' The latter is an orgy of heavy fuzz laden guitars, hammond organ and crazy vocals that easily makes me wanna roll down the stairs in madness.
Don Juan Matus have left much of the doomy rock behind and replaced it with some late 60's/early 70's inspired acid rock along with some other noisy funfair which is a quite pleasant development. The track 'Ritual' is a proof of that and once again the band reminds me of the late 60's and makes me dream away and forget the present.'Ritual' is kind of dreamy and no heavy riffings are involved, it's more like an psychedelic pop song which makes me think of bands like Aguaturbia, The savage rose and Aphrodite's Child.
