3rd Irish Folk Festival (CD)
This is a really nice concert recording of an Irish folk festival in Germany from the mid-1970s. Originally available on hard to find import, it is now available domestically. This features an early line up of De Dannan, featuring Andy Irvine on vocals. The Clannad material is fabulous - this was when they were still a traditional Irish folk group playing acoustic instruments. No synthesizers here! If you like their later, pop oriented, material, you may be disappointed. Conversely, if you were never that impressed with them before, this may change your mind. Add in some nice solo and duo work from Jackie Daly and you have a really good CD.
