I heard this playing in a friends house after Marc Bolan has become every teenage girls fantasy. Guys therefore could not like T Rex, Ride a White Swan was ok but Get it On and Jeepster were big No, No's and Electric Warrior could not be mentioned in the same breath as Purple, Sabbath, Tull and the like. Of course time is a great equaliser and it's now ok to say it's pretty good. Anyway hearing it in this context, this acoustic/electric duo really caught my attention and my inner self said it was fine to like this because it was before they sold out and became pop stars. This is an album that I have never grown tired of, the chrysalis from which the bongo folk psychedelia caterpillar evolved into the butterfly that was glam rock and what a beautiful transition this is. Full of atmosphere and charm it exudes a warmth that one rarely hears from an album.
