Hello ! = Papersleeve = (CD)
When "Hello" was released, status quo were at an absolute high, in Europe, several albums and singles in the top 40 and sold out concerts. So Status Quo decided in 1973 to throw out another long player with, as expected high quality, but this time more commercial songs than before, which is not directly bad. The album starts with one of the best and most famous Status Quo songs ever. The main riff is simple, but at the same time as memorable as the text of the song. Also the rest of the album is very good, but not comparable to "Roll Over Lay Down", except for the last song of the album, namely the almost ten minute long song with great jam inserts "Forty-Five Hundred Times", which for years was a standard at Status Quo concerts amd the four minute short rocker "Caroline". Even though it was the most focused album so far so lacks the certain charm of "Piledriver", but this certain charm should return, on the follow-up album "Quo" ! The album continued to give Status Quo a high place in the charts of all Western European countries and again heaped them with high sales figures and gold records.
