They landed their first number 1 - hit hit Keep on Running, same landed afterwards with Somebody Help Me. Further bestsellers followed with When I Come Home, Gimme Some Loving and I'm a Man. In 1965 and 1966 three successful longplayers were released. The soulful voice of Steve Winwood became the trademark of the band. Winwood left the group in 1967 and founded Traffic.
