The Frankfurt based six-peace ARVEN immediatelly catches your attention with having five ladies in the band accompanied by Till Felden on the drums. On their surprisingly matured debut "Music Of Light" there is food for those who dig beautiful melodies and symphonic metal with a touch of gothic and medieaval sounds - so the right stuff for all who are into bands like Blind Guardian or Sonata Arctica or fans of female fronted bands like Edenbridge, Epica oder Nightwish. The sound of the band is dominated by the charming vocals of Carina Hanselmann and the virtuous guitar work by main songwriter Anastasia Schmidt. The optics of the band are surely very important - the remarkable and just beautiful artwork and logo was created by Jan Yrlund / Darkgrove Design (Korpiklaani, Impaled Nazarene, Stratovarius, Sirenia ).
